Her household growing up had two miniature poodles and as she got older, she relocated to the town of Brownsburg, Indiana to continue her college education at IUPUI. While attending school, Michelle’s mother encouraged her to get a part time job in addition to caring for their yorkie-poodle mix. She worked at various kennels around the city and ultimately found her passion. Michelle changed her major to Communications with a Business Minor to pursue a career in the dog industry. For the last four years since graduation, she has continued to work around different dog daycare and boarding facilities around the city to gain experience, learn the ins and outs of the industry, and ultimately learn what care works best for dogs and their owners. Michelle has worked at over 4 different dog daycare facilities around Indianapolis. She has managerial experience managing staff and up to around one hundred and seventy five boarding dogs in a facility at once. During her time at these kennels, she has worked as receptionist, daycare attendant, kennel attendant, shift-lead (aka management while general manager is not scheduled), and some grooming assistance here and there. Michelle’s passion is to be able to advocate for dogs by raising the bar for dog care in all environments - not just pet sitting.
